What Black Is This, You Say? began with three collective painting sessions of Storefront’s facade, led by Amanda Williams on the first three Saturdays of May 2021. Williams selected twelve colors for the twelve moving panels of Storefront’s facade. Each one has a title and a color that draw from the artist’s Instagram project, launched in June 2020 as a response to #BlackoutTuesday. Read more by clicking on “About the Project.
